State education officials are weighing complaints accusing a Brooklyn principal of setting up a personal fitness gym at her school's expense.
Jazmine Santiago, principal at PS 269 in Flatbush, allegedly installed several pieces of gym equipment in an empty classroom.
A state Department of Education spokesman told NBC 4 New York that the allegations will be investigated.
"School funds should only be used to help develop a supporting learning environment," the spokesman said. "We take any allegation that funds were used inappropriately seriously."
