Charges Dropped Against Stand-Up Comedian Accused of Elbowing Woman in Chest at JFK Airport

Charges have been dropped in the case of a man arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman at John F. Kennedy Airport.

A spokeswoman for the Queens district attorney's office said Wednesday their office declined to prosecute 58-year-old Kevin Meaney of Manhattan, a stand-up comedian and actor.

Port Authority police say Meaney approached the 29-year-old woman as she was walking and elbowed her in the chest. The woman complained of chest pain but refused medical attention.

Meaney was arrested on an assault charge without incident. It happened at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday inside Terminal 1.

It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
