Recent Fordham Graduate Killed by Hit/Run Driver

No arrest has been made

A hit-and-run victim whose body was found early Saturday morning on a Manhattan crosswalk has been identified as a recent graduate of Fordham University.

Noah Goldstein, 21, a graduate of the university's theater program, was apparently crossing Broadway near the intersection with West 61st Street at about 3 a.m. when he was run over by a vehicle that fled the scene, according to police and university officials.

Emergency responders said Goldstein died at the scene, according to police.

No arrest has been made, but investigators noted that several surveillance cameras are located in the area.

Many students posted condolences on social media.

"It is a terrible blow to lose someone so young and full of promise, and we cannot imagine the pain of Noah’s family and loved ones," the Rev. Joseph McShane, Fordham president, wrote in a message to the university community. "I ask that you join me in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers."
