Ground Zero Church to Ring Bell for Colo. Victims

St. Paul's Chapel sheltered and fed recovery workers for months during the cleanup of ground zero

A church in lower Manhattan plans to ring its bell in honor of the victims of the Colorado theater shooting.

The Bell of Hope at St. Paul's Chapel will be tolled at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The bell is a gift from London to New York after the Sept. 11 terror attacks and has been rung following the bombings in London, Madrid, Mumbai and Moscow and the Virginia Tech and the Norway shootings.

St. Paul's Chapel sheltered and fed recovery workers for months during the cleanup of ground zero.

Suspect James Holmes, a former neuroscience graduate student, is accused of killing 12 people in the attack during a showing of a new Batman movie.
