NJ Christmas Killing Still a Mystery, Reward Offered for Information on Shooter

Officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment

Authorities are still searching for the person who shot and killed a man early Christmas morning in a northern New Jersey community.

A police officer on patrol heard multiple gunshots fired in the area of Park Avenue and East Ninth Street in Plainfield. Officers soon found 25-year-old Rashad Daye suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Green Brook resident was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Six months after the killing, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park is hoping someone with information will come forward.

Officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
