A 7-year-old Queens boy was hit in the back of the head with a bullet from a pellet gun while standing outside with his mother Monday evening, and police are searching for the suspect who fired the weapon.
The boy was taken to the hospital with cuts on his head after he was struck near 191st Street in Hollis. He's expected to be OK.
A nearby car was also hit.
Police say there's no indication the shooter meant to hit the boy.
