Long Island Child Porn Suspect Could Have More Victims: FBI

Federal agents say that a Long Island bar owner arrested on child porn charges earlier this month could have been victimizing children for more than 30 years, and they're asking anyone with information about more assaults to come forward.

Vincent Calamia was arrested on July 7 after FBI agents raided his house in Floral Park and found 10 videos on a computer that allegedly depicted the 48-year-old abusing boys between 15 and 17 years old.

Agents initially believed that the boys were sexually assaulted between 2005 and 2014 but now say the abuses could have stretched back as far as 1982. The FBI also says that there could be far more victims than initially thought.

Authorities say they’re also investigating claims that some of the victims were drugged before being videotaped.

The 48-year-old, who has owned Frankie & Vinnie’s bar in Floral Park for about 20 years, currently faces multiple charges related to the child porn possession and sex abuses. If convicted of one or more of the counts, he could spend several decades behind bars.

The suspect is being held at a federal lockup without bail. At a hearing earlier this month, Calamia’s attorney asked that his client be held in protective custody given the nature of the charges he faces.

Anyone with information about other potential abuse is asked to call the FBI's 24-hour hotline at 212-384-1000.
