Air Force Master Sergeant Arrested on Child Pornography Charges in New Jersey

An enlisted officer in the U.S. Air Force was arrested Wednesday on child porn charges in New Jersey, officials say.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Police Chief Anthony Wallace announced Gerard Cameron, 41, was charged with three counts of child endangerment for allegedly distributing and possessing the pornography.

Cameron is a master sergeant in the Air Force, according to NBC 10 in Philadelphia.

He was in Burlington County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Cameron has been forbidden from using the Internet or having contact with minors. His first appearance in Superior Court was scheduled for Thursday afternoon in Mount Holly, N.J.

The case will be sent to a grand jury to be considered for indictment.

A computer in Cameron's home was allegedly used to download porn, authorities said. Software on that computer also made the images available to others online.

Attorney information for the man wasn't immediately available.
