A child is in serious condition after being bitten by a dog in Manhattan, according to officials.
The child was bitten by a dog inside the courtyard of a building on West 163rd Street in Washington Heights around 9 p.m. Tuesday, the FDNY said.
Officials said the unidentified child was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
The dog was removed from the building and has been placed with animal control.
