An SUV driver dozed off and smashed into a Brooklyn middle school Thursday morning, police say, leaving a gaping hole in the building.

The 60-year-old driver refused medical treatment at the scene of the 7 a.m. accident at East New York Family Academy on Linden Boulevard, and no one else was hurt, police said.

Chopper 4 footage showed the front of the SUV completely demolished, with bricks and other debris littering the sidewalk. The airbag deployed.

The school serves about 500 students in grades six through 12. Police said school was to remain in session Thursday and no criminality was suspected.
