A car hit a utility pole in the Long Island City section of Queens Friday evening, bringing wires down in sparks and flame.
Video provided to NBC 4 New York by Vespa Queens shows an SUV crashed into a pole and part of a building on 24th Street. The wires begin to burn and smoke before ultimately crashing down.
Two people were hurt in the crash but no one was taken to a hospital.
No power outages were reported in the area, but Con Edison crews said they would be assessing the scene.
