Brooklyn Alley Rape Suspect Tries to Rape 2nd Woman: NYPD

Police say the man wanted in a Brooklyn alley rape in late August tried to rape another woman in the same neighborhood early last month.

The suspect approached the second victim, who's 29 years old, in the same way he did the first woman on Aug. 30, according to police: he approached her from behind as she was walking near East 98th Street and Conklin Avenue in Canarsie, grabbed her by the arm and said he had a gun.

He then forced the woman into a nearby parking lot where he tried to rape her, police said. The victim fought him off, and the suspect fled on a bike.

He was wearing a bandana bearing the Grenada flag over his face when it happened at about 2:15 a.m. Sept. 7, police said.

The suspect is still being sought in the alley rape of a 19-year-old woman on Rockaway Parkaway in August. Police have said the man stalked two other women within hours of each other on the day of the alley rape, and he may actually live in the neighborhood.

Police have released a sketch and surveillance video of the suspect in the Brooklyn alley rape of a 19-year-old woman last weekend, and say the man stalked two other women within hours of each other and he may actually live in the neighborhood.

The suspect is described as about 5 feet 6 inches and about 135 pounds.

Anyone who recognizes the man depicted in the sketch or in the video is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
