A CUNY professor was arrested Saturday morning after police allege he groped several women in Times Square.
Hasan Zumrut, a 28-year-old chemistry lecturer at Lehman College, was charged with sexual abuse and forcible touching, according to a criminal complaint.
Police say Zumrut grabbed one woman’s buttocks just after midnight on Broadway near West 44th Street. One of the victims was 18 years old, according to the New York Post.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Zumrut had an attorney who could comment on the charges or if Zumrut would be returning to CUNY this semester.
The school had no immediate comment.
