Two boys are in the hospital after a cement wall collapsed on top of them, and one of them is in critical condition, officials say.
The 10- and 11-year-old boys were reportedly playing basketball behind the house in Bushwick Friday night when it went over a cinderblock wall. When they climbed across the wall to get it, the structure collapsed.
Neighbors said the 10-year-old old boy was pinned under the rubble and had to be pulled out.
It wasn't clear why the wall collapsed but neighbors said recent construction in the area may have weakened the structure.
Building officials are investigating.
