Buffalo Frank Lloyd Wright-Designed House is “Iconic House”

A Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in Buffalo has been invited to join the international ``Iconic Houses'' network.

Administrators of the Darwin Martin House say the network connects the most architecturally significant houses from the 20th century that are open to the public as museums. Its website is widely used by architectural tourists.

The network's goals are to increase visits to member houses and to raise awareness of the financial and other challenges of keeping up the properties.

The Martin House complex in Buffalo was designed and built from 1903-1905. Restoration efforts have been under way for the past 20 years.
