Man Accused of Murdering 2 Brothers on Staten Island Street Corner

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in the deadly shootings of two brothers who were slain on a Staten Island street corner over the weekend.

Wayne Thomas, who lives in the borough, was charged with second-degree murder and other crimes Thursday in the deaths of 28-year-old Justin Ford and 27-year-old Terrell Ford.

The brothers were found shot around 3 a.m. Sunday near their home on Vanderbilt Avenue. Justin Ford had been shot in the back; his brother had been shot in the torso.

Their brother Michael Ford told The New York Times "the whole family is devastated."

Justin Ford was an aspiring rapper who performed as SL Blicky and worked for a car service. His songs included "Ferry Boat," about living on Staten Island.

Michael Ford says his brother Terrell went by the nickname "Reno" and worked in construction.

Both slain brothers had young daughters.

It wasn't immediately clear if Thomas had an attorney.
