A squabble turned deadly after a woman stabbed and killed her Brooklyn building mate, police say.

Shymeka Tart, 31, was found with a deep stab wound to her chest around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to her Surf Avenue apartment on Coney Island, according to the NYPD.

Tart, who lived on the fifth floor, was taken to an area hospital, where doctors were unable to save her life, officials said. Her 40-year-old neighbor, who police say lived on the seventh floor, was taken into custody.

The neighbor's name has not been released. But cops say charges are pending against her.

It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the clash between the duo, but investigators are interviewing the suspect and working to piece together that information.

No weapon was found. The investigation is ongoing.
