The NYPD says a 13-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car in Brooklyn.
The accident occurred at Rockaway Parkway and Avenue J at 7:50 a.m. Monday.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was not immediately identified.
The driver of the car also was hospitalized, suffering from trauma. Police say no criminality is suspected.
