A 61-year-old man died in a fire at a three-story apartment building in Brooklyn early Thursday, fire officials say.
Fire crews pulled the man from the building on Herkimer Street in Stuyvesant Heights after getting called to the blaze at around 3 a.m., according to the FDNY.
Police say he was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say no one else was injured or displaced by the blaze, which was put out within a few hours.
