Nets Player in Hotel Suite During Possible Sex Assault: Police

Philadelphia police are investigating a possible sex assault on a 21-year-old woman in a suite at the Four Seasons overnight.

Police say Brooklyn Nets player Andray Blatche was in the suite at the time of the alleged assault overnight, but not in the bedroom where it is said to have taken place.

Officer Jillian Russell says the possible assault reportedly happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in a room at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The Nets were in Philadelphia to play the 76ers. Blatche played, scoring 20 points for the Nets.

Police are interviewing several potential witnesses.

Blatche told reporters Tuesday that he didn't know what happened.

Nets General Manager Billy King said in a statement that the team was aware of the investigation and had no comment except to say that all of the team's players "are available for tonight's game."
