Brooklyn Man's Body Recovered in River Upstate

Authorities say they've recovered the body of a New York City man who apparently drowned while swimming in the Susquehanna River outside Binghamton.

Officials in Broome County tell WBNG-TV in Binghamton that emergency crews were called to the Pine Crest Campground in the town of Windsor around 6 p.m. Sunday after a 26-year-old Brooklyn man went under water and didn't resurface.

Rescue crews and police dive teams found the man's body about two hours later.

Police haven't released the man's name yet.

Windsor is on the Pennsylvania border, about 10 miles east of Binghamton.
