Brooklyn Man Wanted for Questioning in Deaths of 2 Women at NYC Hotels: NYPD

Police say they are looking to question a 36-year-old Brooklyn man in connection to the deaths of two women who were found dead in New York City hotels earlier this summer.

Joseph Danclair has been identified as a person of interest in the deaths of a 35-year-old woman in July and a 43-year-old woman earlier this month, according to the NYPD.

The 35-year-old woman was found dead inside the Bushwick Hotel on Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn on July 23, authorities say.

The 43-year-old woman was found dead in the Manhattan Broadway Hotel near Herald Square on Sept. 8.

Police say Danclair is thought to have spent time with both women. Law enforcement sources say he is believed to be connected to two rapes not involving the two women who were found dead.

A medical examiner will determine how the women died, but law enforcement sources say they appear to have been murdered. Their identities weren’t immediately available.

Police describe Danclair as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has tattoos on both arms, one showing two praying hands and the other illustrating a rose.

His last known address was on Parkside Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Law enforcement sources say he has an extensive criminal history.

Anyone with information about Danclair is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
