Cat Shown Being Brutally Kicked on Video is Adopted

The cat, King, was brought to the ASPCA Animal Hospital by the NYPD for emergency veterinary care

A Brooklyn cat that was shown being brutally kicked in a video on Facebook has been adopted by new owners, according to the ASPCA.

The cat, King, was brought to the ASPCA Animal Hospital by the NYPD on May 6 for emergency veterinary care after the video was posted.

The NYPD arrested Andre Robinson, the 21-year-old man suspected of kicking King on the video, on May 5.

The video started with Robinson calling the cat over, and after King turned around, Robinson allegedly kicked King, causing the cat to fly through the air and land on the ground. The person shown on the video then laughs.

Robinson is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.

King was adopted shortly after being made available by the ASPCA Sunday.
