Brooklyn Bodega Worker Throws Glass Candles At Robber

A cashier at a Brooklyn bodega threw heavy glass candles at a burglar, video shows.

The robber walked into the Junclaito Deli and Grocery on Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick on April 21, then slid through the security glass on the counter.

As he emptied the cash register, an employee starts hurling heavy glass candles at him.

The robber fired two shots, but missed the worker.

Police say the suspect fled with at least $1,300. But when he got outside, another man threw a beer bottle at him.

Investigators believe the same burglar robbed a home down the block that night.

One suspect is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds in his mid-30, the NYPD said. Another woman wearing a gray jogging suit and white sneakers is also wanted, police said.

Anyone with information in regards to these robberies is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)
