A fire in a Brooklyn apartment killed an 81-year-old woman and injured three others early Saturday, officials said.
The blaze, inside an apartment in a building on Brighton 7th Street in Brighton Beach, killed Feyga Geyman, police said. Geyman lived in a second-floor apartment and died from burn trauma, according to authorities, who said it was unclear how the fire started.
The fire, which FDNY responded to at around 2:40 a.m., was contained to the second floor of the building.
Officials said Geyman's 85-year-old husband was among three other people people being treated for injuries.
