A man died and a woman is hospitalized after both were stabbed in a Bronx grocery store Monday, authorities say.
The duo was stabbed at K&M Daily Groceries on White Plains Road in Allerton shortly after noon. Authorities say the 40-year-old man was stabbed in the torso; he died at the hospital. The 38-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in the back, police said; she's expected to survive.
It wasn't immediately clear if the man and woman were a couple.
Authorities say the suspect who stabbed them fled the store on foot. He was later taken into custody, and authorities say charges are pending against him.
