Man Dies Nearly 3 Months After Being Shot in Head During Bronx Nightclub Melee That Killed Another Man, Hurt 4

A 21-year-old man shot in the head during a melee outside a Bronx nightclub in October has died, authorities said Tuesday.

Armani Gonzalez, of the Bronx, died Saturday, nearly three months after the Oct. 5 brawl outside Xtreme Lounge on Valentine Avenue in Fordham.

A 26-year-old man who had been beaten in the head and body with a baseball bat was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the early-morning confrontation, which broke out as the club was shutting down for the night.

Four other men, ages 21, 24, 23 and 22, who were injured survived. Two of them were shot; the other two were slashed.

A 19-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested in connection with the brawl nearly a month into the investigation on murder and other charges. It's not clear if they would face additional charges.
