Bronx Family Killed in Md. Car Crash

Maryland State Police four people killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Newark were members of the same family from New York City.

Fifty-three-year-old Carmelo Dominguez; his wife, 48-year-old Evelyn Morales; his daughter, 23-year-old Natasha Dominguez; and his grandson, 2-year-old Jose Dominguez, all of the Bronx, were pronounced dead at the scene of Monday afternoon's crash.

Five other people were injured in the crash. Troopers say Carmelo Dominguez was driving his car northbound on Route 113 in Newark in Worcester County with six family members in the car. Authorities say Dominguez tried to pass a tractor-trailer when it crashed head-on into another car.

Dominguez's car overturned onto its roof and landed on top of another vehicle.
