Police say they've arrested a suspect in an elevator robbery and rape inside a Bronx apartment building.
Raymond Jenkins, 22, of Brooklyn, is accused of grabbing a woman as she was walking out of an elevator in the University Heights building last Friday night and robbing and sexually assaulting her in a stairwell.
He stole cash and two cellphones, police said.
The woman was taken to a local hospital.
Jenkins was charged Wednesday with rape, robbery, assault, sex abuse and other charges. It's not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
