Breitbart Tweets: Weiner ThisClose

Breitbart, who played role in sexting scandal that brought down congressman, shared his shock at seeing Weiner on Twitter in real time.

Talk about an awkward dinner.

When disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, headed to Georgetown’s Cafe Milano restaurant on Friday, they found themselves seated near Big Government’s Andrew Breitbart, who played a role in the sexting scandal that ultimately led to Weiner’s resignation.

(Breitbart first publicized a sexually explicit photo of Weiner that the New York congressman has accidentally posted to his Twitter account. And, later, a picture showing everything of Weiner obtained by Breitbart went viral when radio hosts Opie & Anthony took a snapshot of it from Breitbart’s phone on their studio’s in-house video camera earlier this year. Breitbart did not endorse the radio hosts’ actions.)

Breitbart shared his shock at seeing Weiner on Twitter in real time.

“I kid you not. At Cafe Milano in DC. NOW. @RepWeiner two tables away from me,” wrote Breitbart. “Oh, and they know. They know. Life is weird.”

There were no fireworks between the two, however. Breitbart tweeted during the dinner that he was “Politely letting him & his wife eat in peace.”
