The 29-year-old brain cancer patient who went missing from his Long Island home late Thursday has returned home and is safe, his family said.
Joshua Smith returned to his home in North Merrick early Friday, a few hours after authorities issued a silver alert for the man.
Family members say that Smith, who was being treated for brain cancer and seizures, was being evaluated at a hospital Friday.
