A boy was shot in the head and a man was shot in the arm while at a cookout in New Jersey Sunday evening.
Police said they were called to University Hospital in Newark just after 7 p.m. when the man was dropped off with the gunshot wound.
Officials said the man was struck by gunfire while at a barbecue on the 800 block of South 17th Street.
As police interviewed the man, they learned a minor that had been at the same cookout was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Police say he is alert and in stable condition.
