A 3-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after he was hit by a car in Brooklyn Thursday night, police said.
Authorities say the child was hit on Sheffield Avenue near Wortman Avenue in New Lots shortly before 9 p.m.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the FDNY said, but has since been upgraded to stable condition, according to police.
Police say the driver who hit the boy stayed at the scene.
No criminality is suspected.
