Body Recovered From Hackensack River

New Jersey police say they've recovered an unknown woman's body from the Hackensack River.

Hackensack police Lt. Darrin DeWitt says police responded to the scene around 10 a.m. Sunday after receiving a call. Emergency personnel in boats were seen sweeping the river and officials from several agencies gathered at a nearby shopping center.

Among the agencies on the scene were the Hackensack police and fire departments, the Oradell Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation is ongoing and additional information is not immediately available.
