De Blasio to Meet With Obama at White House Friday

Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio is set to meet with President Barack Obama at the White House Friday, along with several other newly elected mayors.

De Blasio's staff confirmed the scheduled meeting Thursday.

Obama campaigned for de Blasio in October, hitting Junior's Cheesecake in Brooklyn.

Also Thursday, de Blasio appointed Lilliam Barrios-Paoli as his deputy mayor for health and human services. She has managed five city agencies under three mayors.

De Blasio says she will oversee agencies charged with housing the homeless, expanding community health clinics and cutting tape in social services.
