Despite spending just 31 month in office, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton's tenure was an eventful one.
In his second stint as New York City's top cop -- he served previously in that role under Mayor Giuliani -- Bratton presided over historic drops in crime even as complaints over police brutality and police misconduct increased.
