Cycling Cellphone Thieves Target Young Women in Midtown: NYPD

Two bike-riding cellphone thieves targeted two young women in midtown Manhattan, police said.

The first victim, a 28-year-old woman, was walking on Park Avenue at about 9:15 p.m. June 16 when the suspects rode up to her on their bicycles and took her iPhone 6 before riding off, the NYPD said.

The suspects struck again June 22 at about 5 a.m. when a 24-year-old woman was walking near Madison Avenue and East 23rd Street. Police said the suspects rode up to her and took an iPhone 6 from her hand before riding away.

No injuries were reported in either robbery.
