Cops Seek Bicycle-Riding Necklace Snatcher

The NYPD is looking for a man who has snatched necklaces from women while riding his bicycle in at least eight separate incidents in Brooklyn over the past few months.

The chain snatchings have all taken place between 7 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. in Bushwick between May and August., police said. His victims, all women, have ranged in age from 14 to 48.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, approaches the women on a bicycle, grabs the necklaces, and flees on his bicycle, police said.

"It's very old school, I didn't think it existed anymore," said Katrina Torres of Bushwick. "People are usually stealing iPods."
