Police Warn New Jersey Residents After Bear Sighting

Police are warning some New Jersey residents after a bear was seen on the loose, authorities said.

The bear was sighted on Lawrence Avenue near Sinclair Place in Westfield shortly after 8 p.m., police said.

Police said it is recommended residents stay indoors and everyone is cautious until the bear has moved out of the area. 

Police are in the area to make sure the public is safe.
