Serial Manhattan Bank Robber Sought in 6 Thefts Since June

The NYPD is looking for a man believed to have robbed at least six banks in Manhattan since early June, authorities said.

Police say that in the first five robberies, the suspect passed a note to a teller and fled with cash. In the most recent robbery, on July 8, he displayed a gun.

The targeted banks are located across midtown and on the Upper West Side, and police say they were all robbed between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Police have identified the suspect as 31-year-old Andre Calix. They released several images of him (above) and ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
