A "frantic" husband pulled up in front of a New Jersey police station Wednesday asking for help: his wife was in the backseat of their car, in labor, and cops jumped in to help the couple, according to a Facebook post.
The husband pulled in front of the Hazlet Township police station doors Wednesday afternoon. Hazlet police Sgt. Kevin Geoghan and Patrolman Pat Kiley came to the aid of the expectant mother and father. Geoghan, who took charge of the delicate operation, helped deliver the girl at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday.
"Just when we thought we've seen it all ..." the Facebook post said.
The officers say the mother and the newborn girl appeared to be in good health. They were escorted to the hospital by the Hazlet Township First Aid Squad.
