2 Bouncing Baby Baboons Born at Prospect Park Zoo

The younger one is still nursing, but the elder is exploring on his own

Two bouncing baby baboons, half-brothers born just weeks apart, are now on display at the Prospect Park Zoo.

The infant Hamadryas baboons were born  Aug. 9 and Sept. 26, the zoo says. The younger one is still nursing, but the elder is exploring on his own.

The half-brothers share a father, 21-year-old Bole. Their mothers, Rebecca and Kaia, are both 10 years old.

Hamadryas baboons are native to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It's been three years since a baboon of this species was born at the zoo.
