A whimsical collection of bras covered with such things as sea shells and candy will be auctioned to benefit a New York state breast cancer program.
The 247 bras were designed by artists for the "Creative Cups" silent auction Thursday at Adelphi University.
Proceeds will benefit Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.
Designers from across the country were asked to express their hopes and fears concerning the deadly disease.
The bras -- all size 36-C -- will be displayed on mannequins.
Among the offerings are bras whose cups are covered with flowers, Tootsie Rolls and sea shells encased in fisherman's netting.
