FDNY Responds to Apartment Fire in Astoria

Dozens of firefighters were responding to an apartment fire in Astoria, Queens Monday evening. 

The blaze broke out on the third floor of the building on 34th Street near 36th Avenue at about 8 p.m., the FDNY says. 

One person was injured and is being evaluated on the scene, fire officials say. No one has been taken to the hospital. 

About 60 firefighters were on the scene.
