A 26-year-old Staten Island man was charged Sunday with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a man in Port Richmond, police said.

Sergio Carreto faces the murder charge and a charge of criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call just after 5 a.m. Sunday and found an unconscious Durrell Finley, 26, of Staten Island, at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Faber Street, investigators said.

Finley had stab wounds in his torso and was taken to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
