Man Arrested in Elevator Sex Assault of Girl, 13: Police

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect in an elevator sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl NYPD

Police have arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl inside an elevator last week.

Jemmal Bryan, 29, of Jamaica, Queens faces a charge of second-degree rape in the Aug. 20 incident.

Police say Bryan followed the victim onto the elevator at the South Jamaica Housing Development about 7:30 a.m. Aug 20. Then, while the elevator was moving, he assaulted her.

Once the elevator reached the girl’s floor, she screamed for help. That’s when Bryan ran away.
