Attorneys for a pharmaceutical millionaire accused of giving her 8-year-old son a fatal drug concoction before attempting the same on herself in a luxury Manhattan hotel suite may call for a dismissal upon news the sole blood sample taken from Gigi Jordan has vanished.
Prosecutors blame Bellevue Hospital, where Jordan was taken immediately after the incident, for losing the minute sample, which the defense had hoped to use to prove that Jordan had intended to take her own life by the same means with which she took the life of her son, Judas.
That sample could have shown that Jordan had dosed herself with a massive quantity of hydrocodone and benzodiazepines.
Jordan’s defense hinges on the notion that killing herself and Judas was the only way for the two to escape the horror her son lived in, allegedly having been abused by both his biological and adoptive fathers.
