A 92-year-old woman eating breakfast in her kitchen on Long Island was attacked by a robber who broke into her home and snatched jewelry from her neck Wednesday morning, police say.
The man entered the woman's Carole Court home in North Valley Stream through an unlocked door at about 9:30 a.m., according to police. He grabbed the elderly victim's neck, removed a gold-colored necklace, and then ran away.
The necklace was recovered at the scene. Police say the woman was not hurt.
