911 Call Not Enough to Save 17-Month-Old Girl on UWS

A 911 call to authorities from a Manhattan home early Saturday was not enough to save a 17-month-old girl, police said.

Officials responded to the Upper West Side home on West 100th Street at around 4:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a child having difficulty breathing.

The girl, Rose Sanders, was brought to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was declared dead at around 5:20 a.m.

Police are investigating.
