A young boy broke several bones in Brooklyn Sunday afternoon after he was struck by an oncoming subway, officials say.
The 9-year-old boy somehow slipped into the area between the subway platform and the train at the Atlantic Avenue L train stop in East New York. It was there where he was hit by the train, breaking both of his legs, according to the NYPD.
The boy’s father was able to pull him to safety, but not before the train dragged him for a short distance before coming to a stop.
